A gift that keeps giving

A waqf is an endowment: the donated asset (the principal) is preserved in perpetuity, and only the income it generates may be disbursed. This is the essence of sadaqah jāriyah — ongoing charity. Spend the principal and the waqf is destroyed.

Modeling principal and returns

WAQAF models every waqf as two linked funds: a principal fund that can receive and hold but never disburse, and a returns fund that captures investment income and is free to spend. Reports show both at a glance, so trustees always know what is truly spendable.

Guardrails, not goodwill

Rather than trusting staff to remember the rule, WAQAF enforces it: disbursement from a principal fund is simply not allowed. The endowment is protected by the system, not by memory.
